Soft Skills Training is a workshop activity that aims to train the crews of the “SAFEL” Foreign Language UKM in mastering certain skills, such as efforts to improve self-development in various good fields so that later the crews are able to carry out organizational activities in the “SAFEL” Foreign Language UKM smoothly and can increase the creativity of each crew.
Soft Skills Training was held on Saturday, April 11st at 09.20 A.M at the UNY Student Center on the 2nd floor hall, east wing. “Empowering the Core: Building Excellence from Within” “Empowering the Core” means strengthening the core. This theme emphasizes that SAFEL’s success begins with the quality of its individuals, whether it’s their speaking skills, their thoroughness, or their leadership style.
This event began with an opening by the Master of Ceremony followed by a warm welcome from the Head of Soft Skills Training, Ahsan Maulana Nashirudin, and then Rullie Andika Arif as the President of SAFEL, and of course Miss Cinthia Reswari as the Advisor of UKM SAFEL also participated in giving an extraordinary warm welcome with video that displayed on the screen. Before starting the Presentation, QnA, and Workshop sessions by the speakers, the event began with a Pretest session where the participants worked on questions according to their initial abilities.
The event continued with Presentation, QnA, and Bureaucracy Workshop delivered by Secretary I SAFEL, Gita, and Treasurer of SAFEL, Chika. This agenda goes very well. The participants were very excited to listen and also actively asked about what they wanted to know more about Bureaucracy. So, when the presenter gives a workshop for the group to make a cost budget draft of the event for 20 minutes, they can complete it easily. With this Bureaucracy training, participants are expected to become secretaries or treasurers in various SAFEL work programs well and skillfully.
The next agenda is Presentation, QnA, and People Management and Graphic Design Workshop by Ghaida as Head of HRD Department and Karina as Head of PR Department. In this session, the participants were also very enthusiastic, especially when practicing making a Coming Soon design by applying people management to each group. Although only given a fairly short time, they can complete and even present the design that they have made beautifully and attractively.
The third agenda is Presentation, QnA, and Foreign Language Workshop and Cross-Cultural Understanding with Bilqis as the Head of the FOLT Department and Fani as the Head of the CCU-LM Department. This session was no less interesting, even more enthusiastic than the previous presentation. Participants are invited to travel to 6 countries in SAFEL to introduce the uniqueness of the Language and Culture of each country and after each country introduction, participants are appointed to introduce themselves using the language of each country.
The next session is Presentation, QnA, and Leadership and Public Speaking Workshop by Rullie as the President of SAFEL and Nisa as the Head of the PS Department. After a very useful material delivery session, the speaker gave a challenge to explain one object using the basics of public speaking.
The last session is Presentation, QnA, and Logistics Workshop by Abid as the Alumni of SAFEL 2025. After delivering the material, the speaker gave a case study to participants about logistics problem that happened at an event.
After the Presentation, QnA, and Workshop sessions, the event continued with quizziz games about general knowledge, culture, guessing song lyrics, guessing pictures, and unique things about several SAFEL countries. In this activity, participants enthusiastically competed for the highest scores and attractive prizes. Not only that, participants are also given a posttest to measure the extent of their understanding of the material that has been presented. After completing, participants are given the opportunity to convey their impressions and messages during the Soft Skills training. Then continued the announcement of The Most Active Participant, namely Desti, who is considered the most active during the training, so it deserves to be appreciated.
The event was closed by giving certificates to the speakers and taking pictures together. Through this event it is expected to provide many benefits for the participants. Thank you to all the committee, presenter, and all participants who participated in this event. Hopefully, we can meet again in Soft skills training in 2027.
