The Overseas Scholarship Seminar is an event organized by the Folt Department of the SAFEL Student Organization. This seminar will be held on April 18, 2026, in the LMT Room (Music and Dance Laboratory), Seminar Room on the 2nd Floor. This event provides information regarding the pathways and procedures for overseas scholarships. The primary objective of this event is to share crucial information for those seeking overseas scholarships, particularly for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. The theme is “Turning Curiosity into Global Opportunities.”
For this scholarship seminar, we invited two speakers: Ms. Agnes Clarissa Purwoko, a recipient of the LPDP scholarship, and Ms. Septinda Rima Dewanti, a recipient of the BPI (Indonesian Education Scholarship),
Agnes received a fully funded LPDP (Indonesian Government) scholarship for an MPhil in Education at the University of Cambridge, Homerton College, England, from October 2024 to July 2025, specializing in Critical Approaches to Children’s Literature. Topics covered: The Education Fund Management Agency (LPDP) Scholarship, Scholarship Preparation, Tips for Passing the Selection Process, Interview Tips and Tricks, and Experiences Living in the England
The second speaker was Septinda Rima Dewanti, M.A., Ph.D., BPI-LPDP, Ph.D. in Education, Queensland University of Technology 2022–2025, “Australia.” In this seminar, Ms. Septinda presented material on the Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI), scholarship preparation, tips for passing the selection process, interview tips and tricks, and her experiences living in Queensland. In line with the material presented, Ms. Septinda shared her experiences of culture shock in Queensland, as well as the local environment and culture.
We invited 35 participants to this scholarship seminar. During the seminar, we discussed the process of obtaining scholarships; the engaging and captivating speaker motivated the participants to strive for the scholarships they desired. We provided participants with knowledge regarding how to obtain scholarships for studying abroad and offered insights into the strategic steps and necessary preparations required to secure scholarships for overseas.
