Soft Skills Training is a workshop activity that aims to train the crews of the Student Activity Forum of SAFEL in mastering certain skills, such as making designs. So, the crews will be able to carry out organizational activities at the Student Activity Forum of “SAFEL” smoothly and can increase the creativity of each crew.

Soft Skills Training 2023 was held on Saturday, March 11 at 9:00 a.m. in the UNY Student Center on the 2nd floor. “Take a Step: Unlock New Skills to Improve Terrifically” is the theme raised at this event with the aim of showing the new skills acquired and later improving greatly.

The event was opened by the Master of Ceremonies, who was warmly followed by remarks from the Head of Soft Skills Training, Dewi Ayuni Fitriani, and then Christina Vieny as the President of SAFEL. The event continued with bureaucratic training by SAFEL’s Secretary, Melvany Anggi Ardina, and SAFEL’s Treasurer, Karimatul Ummah.

This agenda is going well. The participants were very enthusiastic to ask the presenter what they did not know. So, when the session presenter gives the wrong proposal format, the participant can justify it easily. With this bureaucracy training, the participants can become the secretary or treasurer of any event in SAFEL anytime and anywhere.

After a dizzying amount of bureaucratic training, the event continued with a game of guessing the language and the title of the song from the lyrics. In this agenda, the participants seemed to have fun while trying to answer the question given.

The next agenda is CorelDraw training, presented by Annida Rizkyana, a content creator who is also a member of SAFEL. CorelDraw training introduces what tools are used in making cue cards and how to use them. With this knowledge, participants were asked to make a cue card design with the theme of a cultural festival for 40 minutes.

When finished, the presenter is judging the participant’s results. While waiting, participants were given the opportunity to express their impressions of the message during this soft skills training. The design result was very amazing, but the presenter only chose the two best designs, namely Dian Krisnandita Gusti H. and Galuh Shafa Danumaya. The content of their cue card design is very good, and they have implemented the tools that have been taught. So, they deserve it.

The event was closed by giving mementos to the presenter and taking a group photo. Hopefully, this event will provide many benefits for the participants.

Thank you to all the committee members, our presenter, and all the participants who took part in this event. Hopefully, we can meet again at the soft skills training in 2024. Aamiin.
