Seminar Beasiswa Studi Lanjut Luar Negeri is the first program from the FOLT Department, which was held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Student Center, 3rd Floor Hall. This scholarship seminar aims to provide information about scholarships and cultures that we will meet during the study abroad experience. This year, Seminar Beasiswsa Studi Lanjut Luar Negeri provides Turkey and Australia scholarship information with the theme “Spread Your Wings, Fly Around the World”, which means this scholarship seminar can be a square-off for participants to be better prepared for their scholarship journey.
This year’s scholarship seminar was carried out through an offline meeting and was attended by around 50 participants. From so many scholarships to Turkey and Australia, the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship and the Australia Awards Scholarship became the right choices. The first speaker is Durrotul Masudah, who is an awardee of the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship. She was a student at the University of Reading and graduated in 2022. She explained deeply about the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship and the cultures that can be learned when undergoing study there. She also explained that the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship is so flexible that we can choose the university first and then the major. In addition, the Turkiye Burslari Scholarship is fully funded with scholarship coverage, namely flights, accommodation, living allowance, and course fee. Another interesting thing conveyed was that there are many cultures and fun facts that can be learned; for example, there are so many cats and dogs there.
Moving to the second speaker, Safirotu Khoir, who is an awardee of the Australia Awards Scholarship. She was a student at Curtin University of Technology and graduated in 2016. What she was explained starts from the administrative step to the final interview step. An interesting thing from the Australia Awards Scholarship, which she said was about the free practice English class in Bali given by the AAS Scholarship depends on their IELTS test! Interesting fact about the amazing Australian people, one of which is that there are so many libraries that are comfortable and free for anyone.
In each presentation, there is an open discussion between the speaker and the participants through the question session. Towards the end of the event, the moderator conveys appreciation for the speakers who have been willing to share knowledge and information and conveys a little conclusion obtained at the seminar today.
Last but not least, we, as a committee, hope that Seminar Beasiswa Studi Lanjut Luar Negeri could be useful for all participants. See you in Seminar Beasiswa Studi Lanjut Luar Negeri 2024!
