PAB is one of the annual activities by UKM SAFEL and is included in of the largest SAFEL program which is supervised by the HRD department. This activity aims to regenerate members of the SAFEL UKM with the target of all active students at YSU.
PAB is held every year. This year, the PAB started from 10 September until 17 October 2020. Due to the current condition of being a pandemic, this year’s PAB activities were carried out online. PAB 2020 brought up the theme: “A Journey to Find Yourself: Magnificient Journey into the unknown, Miraculous journey into the SAFEL Universe”.
PAB SAFEL itself had several series of events, namely UKM Display, Open recruitment, Studium Generale, Interview, and the Inauguration as the peak of this event. The UKM Display was held on September 10, 2020, through the Be smart platform which is integrated with the University and also the PAB youtube account. This time the display took the theme “SAFEL Rewind” which contains a video commemorating SAFEL activities before this pandemic.
Furthermore, the Open recruitment activity started on 11 September-22 September 2020 and was divided into 2 waves with a quota for 300 applicants. The next activity was the Studium Generale (SG) which was held on September 25, 2020, through the PAB youtube live streaming. After the SG activity, we came to the interview which had been divided into each session for 3 days on 2-5 October 2020. At the end of the activity was the inauguration which was used to welcome the new faces of the SAFEL UKM members which were held on October 17, 2020, via a zoom meeting.
Many things happened this year, and the overall results from the PAB are pretty great and satisfying. There are many experiences from the event which was held online for the first time. Hopefully, this pandemic will cease out soon, so in the next year, PAB may be held offline.
