Friday Night (7/2), Open House “SAFEL” 2020, the opening event of the new organizational management in 2020, is the annual program of “SAFEL” to introduce our organization to our new members, the people around Student Center, and also the students of UNY.
“Strengthen Relationship and Express Yourself beyond Diversity” was brought as the theme of Open House “SAFEL” this year in order to bring the warm relationship between staff, members, and sub-departments.
This event was opened by the welcoming speech from the advisor of “SAFEL”, Dr. Anita Triastuti, M.A., and our new president of “SAFEL”, Dewi Indriyani. The agenda was continued by costume parade, with traditional costumes from Indonesia, Japan, France, Germany, England, and South-Korea. Then the agenda was continued by Safelite, who was performing two songs; ‘This Love’ by Davichi OST D.O.T.S Korean Drama and ‘Remember’ by Mocca.
Then, we came to the main agenda of Open House, ‘Talk-Show’, which was hosted by Apri Rohmanto and starred by the main crew and heads of the department of “SAFEL”. We had some discussions about the upcoming of our agenda in 2020, such as Festival Budaya Internasional “SAFEL” 2020, UNESCHO (UNY English Competition) #5 2020, and many more.
After ‘Talk-Show’ agenda, the second performance of Safelite brought two songs again, they were Japanese song and ‘Fly Me to the Moon’. When they were singing ‘Fly Me to The Moon’ song, I felt that the Lobby of the Student Centre had turned into a concert stage. The next agenda was the announcement of the winner of the photo contest. Finally, the Open House SAFEL 2020 was closed by special performances brought by ‘The Clan SDC’. Everyone looked so happy and pleased with the closing performance. After the closing agenda, some visitors went home soon but some were interested in the photo booth stand which was decorated in front of the lobby.
