Public Speaking is a speech science (rhetoric) that includes discussing, arguing, speeches, conducting meetings, moderators, MC, and presenters or the ability of a person to be able to talk in public, groups or individuals. While in SAFEL, there is agenda called “One Day In Action” which is a workshop that aims to practice the skill of “SAFEL” manager, especially to become a Master of Ceremony that related to the field of public speaking. This agenda was made since there are so many agenda of SAFEL that need human resource to be able to talk in public especially become an MC.
One Day in Action was held for 4 hours from 08.00-12.00 WIB. This activity was designed in the form of sharing and practicing in carrying out the event given that there are many “SAFEL” events that require high quality MC and trained soft skills. Although there are still small things and constraints, the event can run well. Broadly, the activities of One Day in Action 2019 carried out well, both from the committee readiness and response from the participants. The theme of One Day In Action 2019 was ‘Own the Audience by Your Own Voice ‘. This agenda was held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the Hall of the 3rd floor, Student Center, Yogyakarta State University. This agenda is a part of Department of Public Speaking’s program.
