Networking is a program organized by the Public Relations (PR) department of SAFEL. This program aims to broaden and maintain the ties between SAFEL and various organizations in Yogyakarta that have shared objectives and backgrounds with SAFEL. This time we collaborated with Student English Activity (SEA) from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) on April 27, 2024, with the theme “Weaving Heartstring for the Perfect Chemistry.” The idea behind this theme is that we believe through this program, SAFEL and SEA can weave or knit together our similarities in every aspect to achieve the perfect chemistry.

We had the opportunity to visit SEA’s headquarters this time around; specifically, the event took place at Muhammadiyah University Yogyakarta, K.H. Ibrahim Building, Fifth Floor, Amphitheater E.7-A. The SAFEL team convoyed for UMY around 12:10 PM. The Muhammadiyah and Muhammadiyah University anthems were sung to open the event, followed by Indonesia Raya. After that comes the greetings from the presidents, Haidar of SEA and Angeli of SAFEL. Both of the presidents then gave an overview of its members, structure, programs, etc. Unexpectedly, there were many similarities between SAFEL and SEA that sparked the participants’ enthusiasm.

On this occasion, the event included a Focus Group Discussions (FGD) session. SAFEL and SEA were divided into multiple groups based on the departments or ministries in which they were housedSAFEL and SEA discovered multiple parallels during the thirty minutes that were designated for the FGD session, which made it enjoyable for everyone. Following the Focus Group Discussion, SEA prompted DANSEANG to perform several K-pop songs. The event came to an end with a memento exchange between SEA and SAFEL.

SAFEL would like to express our greatest gratitude to SEA for welcoming us with such warm smiles and cheers. We hope that the relationship we build can be preserved for many years to come. I, Yhara, as the Person in Command (PIC) of Networking, would like to thank my PRoduce family, Ayya, Chalika, Aurel, Nasywa, Fatimah, Nanaz, Izzy, Risda, Cynta, and Fisya, for the hard work you guys put in this Networking, and I would like to thank Kak Ihza as the representative of SEA for being a great partner. See you on the next Networking, everyone!
