MC Club is one of the programs of the Public Speaking Department which aims to facilitate SAFEL’s members and crews to improve their skill to be a good Master of Ceremony. This year, we are proudly to announce that our theme is “Speak to the World, be A Spectacular MC”. The MC Club was hold in September to November 2019. At Student Center of Yogyakarta State University. Aside from being discussion forum and learning to be a Master of Ceremony, MC Club also aims to ties between SAFEL’s members to one another.
The Activity of MC Club is in the form of a grup discussion. Participants are divided into several small groups in which each group is accompanied by LOs. The name of the group will be adjusted to the name of Famous MC in the world like Graham Northon (Inggris), Jimmy Kimmel (Amerika), Yoo Jaesuk (Korea), and Yang Lan (Cina).
MC Club was hold once in a week for 7 meetings which included three big meetings and four small meetings. Big meetings take place in the first, fourth and seventh week. At the first and fourth big meeting, participants will get material from the Main Coach named Sukarno, while at the seventh meeting or the last meeting is the peak night of the MC Club where the agenda is the MC competition by the participants. In addition to big meetings, there are also small meetings held on the second, third, fifth and sixth week by the participants and the LO’s.
At the first meeting, all participants were gathered together before being divided into small groups. After that, they will be given time to gather with their LO for introducing and discussing the weekly meeting schedule. After the first meeting is over, the next meeting is a weekly meeting that is held according to the schedule agreed upon by the group. On fifth and sixth meeting used to do preparations towards MC Competition in the last meeting.
