Latihan Dasar Organisasi or commonly known as LDO is one of the work programs for UKM Bahasa Asing ”SAFEL” which is under the auspices of the HRD department. LDO is designed as a program for the regeneration of SAFEL crews in the following year as well as a place for debriefing prospective SAFEL crews regarding the basics of the organization so that prospective crews who do not have or already have experience can improve their competence as candidates for SAFEL crews. This year, LDO has a theme of “Journey to SAFELand: Flying High Together, Infinity, and Eternally,” which means that before reaching “Safeland,” new candidates’ crews are expected to be able to complete a series of travel processes that are certain they will have an unforgettable experience when carrying out the trip.
The LDO will take place in a hybrid format on October 29-30, 2022.Pre-events, namely open registration and Day 1 LDO will be conducted online. Meanwhile, TM and the highlights of the event were carried out offline. LDO is divided into 3 stages of events, namely, TM, LDO Day 1, and LDO Day 2. At the Technical Meeting, or TM, the event is opened by the MC welcoming the participants. Then came the welcome speech from the chairman of the LDO 2022 committee and the president of SAFEL. The most anticipated part is the division into groups and assignments. The committee divided all registered participants into 5 large groups, each of which was accompanied by 2 LOs who accompanied the LDO during the LDO.
LDO Day 1 contains material about organization and achievement. The background of this material was the emergence of the need for new members for the concept of leading and being led, especially those that apply in the Foreign Language UKM “SAFEL” itself. Apart from being an activist, SAFEL also encourages its crews to become achievers through the formation of a competitive spirit, especially in competitions both on a national and international scale. Ms. Syifa, president of SAFEL 2021, was invited as a resource person on organizational material, and Ms. Adhe, an outstanding student 2 at UNY 2022 who is also president of EDS UNY 2021, was invited to explain achievement material. LDO Day 1 will take place on October 29, 2022, from 08.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. WIB. The event started with an opening by the MC. Then there was a photo session, which continued with material and question-and-answer sessions. During the transition from material 1 to other materials, the committee displays a group assignment video. The activity was closed by giving symbolic mementos to the speakers.
LDO Day 2 is the culmination of the entire series of LDO activities. On the second day, activities were carried out offline at Joglo Salak, Turi, and Sleman. In order to enliven the event, the committee has prepared various interesting activities, one of which is outbound. The event began with the LO welcoming the participants who arrived at the location. The participants who attended the location wore the dress code that had been set by the previous committee. Referring to the LDO theme, which has an outer space atmosphere, the choice of color for the costume also follows planetary colors, ranging from red to orange. The next series of agendas were opened by the MC and continued with outbound activities. The event then closed with an awarding session and the crowning of King and Queen LDO 2022.
