
Anjangsana is one of the programs in UKM Bahasa Asing “SAFEL” under the department of Public Relation. This program is designed to bring together the staff and staff alumni of UKM Bahasa Asing “SAFEL” in one forum to strengthen the relationship between the two.
This year Anjangsana coincides with SAFEL’s 16th birthday on August 12, 2020. Therefore, this year Anjangsana is also intended as a thanksgiving to God for UKM Bahasa Asing “SAFEL” which has been established for 16 years.
Implementation of Anjangsana 2020 is different from the previous years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the previous years, Anjangsana was committed in the student center hall of UNY on the 3rd floor, this year Anjangsana was committed online through the google meet platform.
“Breaking the Distance, Embracing the Warmth of SAFEL’s Family” as the theme, it was hoped that Anjangsana 2020 could kill the distance between the staff and staff alumni, which could strengthen the relationship between the two so that warmth could be created in SAFEL’s family.
Anjangsana 2020 was held on Saturday, 22 August 2020 at 11:00-12:00 WIB. This program was attended by at least 70 participants consisting of 48 participants who are staff and 22 participants who are alumni of UKM Bahasa Asing “SAFEL”.
At the beginning of the program, the MC opened the event by reading a prayer and continued with a speech by the person in charge of the activity and the president of UKM Bahasa Asing “SAFEL”. After that, the event was hosted by the president of UKM Bahasa Asing “SAFEL” to introduce the PIPH and the official department staff to the alumni.
At the alumni introduction session, each alumnus introduced themselves to other participants. The introduction started from the oldest to the youngest batch of alumni. This session was very interesting.
Angjangsana which is a sharing program between the staff and the staff alumni becomes even more pronounced when some alumni began to tell about the history of things related to SAFEL, such as the history of the SAFEL’s PDL, the rhino symbol on the SAFEL’s PAB, and so on.
For the staff to get to know the staff alumni better, some discussion forums were provided for each department. Participants were divided into 5 groups according to their departments. In this group, alumni could share their experiences and provide suggestions or input to the staff about future management.
Participants from the department group would be directed back to the fist group for the closing ceremony and group photos. Previously, several alumni gave their messages during the Anjangsana 2020 program. The group photo session was guided by documentation sie. Each participant was required to open their respective cameras. The event was followed by a closing.
Anjangsana 2020 was very fun. Even though it was carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic, the participants were still excited and seemed to enjoy the program until it was over.
Thank you to the committee for organizing Anjangsana 2020 well even though in a short time, and to the staff and staff alumni who participated in making Anjangsana 2020 a success. Hopefully, in the next year, Anjangsana can be carried out even better. -gendhis-
