MC Club serves as one of the annual signature programs of the Public Speaking Department of SAFEL. The goal of this program is to elevate public speaking capabilities, with a specific focus on mastering the role of a Master of Ceremonies. This year, MC Club was held offline, with the type of semi-formal MC text. MC Club was held with the theme “Uniting Voices: Speaking with Power, Leading with Heritage!” This year’s MC Club was held with 6 meetings, consisting of 2 big meetings and 4 weekly meetings. Attracting 30 registrants, participants were divided into 4 groups with group names based on Indonesian Ancient Kingdom, including Kalingga, Langkat, Dharmasraya, and Samudera Pasai. Each group was guided by 2 coaches who were SAFEL crews from various departments and experienced members.
We were privileged to have Kak Nadia Shafiana Rahma as the official trainer for MC Club 2025. Recognized as the 2nd winner of Duta Bahasa Provinsi DIY 2024, Kak Nadia also brings extensive experience as a professional MC. She delivered highly practical material aimed at bolstering the participants’ MC skills. The inaugural big meeting took place on September 28th, 2025, covering an explanation of the MC Club structure, an introduction of the group coaches, and the official group distribution. Kak Nadia began by sharing foundational materials on the definition and different types of MCs, alongside the essential attributes required for becoming a great MC. A Q&A session was provided for participants to directly address any material-related questions to Kak Nadia.
Throughout the Big Meeting sessions, MC Club coaches were present to assist participants, complementing the exercises and content provided by Kak Nadia. During the weekly sessions, participants engaged in continuous practice, presenting parts of an MC text: opening, main body, and closing. Reaching the peak of this program was a final project, in which participants had to record a video of themselves reading the provided MC text. Participants were required to apply the materials throughout the weekly meetings and submitted the video by uploading it on social media. A total of 20 participants successfully submitted their final projects on their personal Instagram social media accounts.
After the implementation of 4 weekly meetings, on November 1st, 2025, the final big meeting was held. Participants reunited with our outstanding trainer, Kak Nadia, who focused her final presentation on techniques for MC improvisation in diverse settings and professional advice for establishing a career as an MC. A key part of this session involved group representatives presenting their final projects live, followed by personalized feedback from Kak Nadia. The event concluded with the announcement of the annual awards, which highlighted the best final project, the best participant, and group-based recognitions: the most active, the most lively, the most solid, and the best group. For 2025, Desti Uun Ristiani was declared the winner of the best final project and Azziah Shafa Firdaus was named the best participant. The group awards recognized Kalingga as the Best Group, Langkat as the Most Active Group, Samudera Pasai as the Most Lively Group, and Dharmasraya as the Most Solid Group in MC Club 2025.

Hopefully, this year’s event will be a stepping stone for MC Club 2026!
