TOEFL Preparation and Test is a work program organized by the FOLT (Foreign Language Training) Department under the management of UKM Bahasa Asing “SAFEL“. The purpose of this program is to support participants, especially Yogyakarta State University students and the general public, to be able to test and improve their English skills through the TOEFL test. TOEFL Preparation and Test is also organized to help participants who need TOEFL scores or certificates for certain purposes. This program is in collaboration with a trusted institution that usually organizes TOEFL tests.
This year, TOEFL Preparation and Test takes the theme “The Alchemy of Fluency: Transmuting Language into Opportunity“. It is hoped that all participants who take part in this program will gain English test preparation to achieve their respective goals on a global scale. The TOEFL Preparation and Test 2024 is being held in collaboration with an English language institution called TOP English. TOP English is the first English Learning House in Yogyakarta that provides TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, and ACEPT preparation with credible certificates.
TOEFL Preparation and Test registration is divided into two batches: Early Bird on May 18–25 and Night Owl on May 26–June 7. The day of the event was held on June 8, 2024, in the 4th floor Seminar Room, IsDB Laboratory, FISHIPOL, Yogyakarta State University.
The TOEFL Preparation and Test activity was divided into two sessions: seminar and TOEFL test. The seminar session was presented by Miss Muflihatunnisa, S.S., M.A., a speaker from TOP English. This seminar contained a brief explanation of what TOEFL is, tips and tricks for taking the TOEFL test, and also Q&A session about TOEFL. After the seminar session, the activity continued with a 2 hour TOEFL test session, which was guided and supervised by the institution from TOP English. Then participants will get a TOEFL score in the form of a physical certificate. The certificate can be used within 1 year after the certificate is issued.
Fortunately, this TOEFL Preparation and Test event has been completed well. Hopefully, this event will be helpful for all participants involved. I would like to thank all the committee, the speaker, the institution, and all the people who participated in this event.
