Good morning, everyone. How are you? Hopefully, we are all in good condition. Wow, I did not expect that the 2023 comparative study would be carried out, and I did not forget there was an article. I would like to thank all the committees that have tried hard in this comparative study. I also thank my family, Korpri, who always work hand in hand with their support.
Comparative Study is a work program of the Public Relations department of Foreign Language UKM “SAFEL” UNY, where we will visit the same UKM, focusing on language and culture at other universities. This activity is a valuable experience for UKM members and can contribute to the development of UKM as well as increasing understanding of language and culture in the university environment. The reason why the Foreign Language UKM “SAFEL” UNY chose to collaborate with FORMASI UB UKM is because of the similarity of backgrounds in language and culture.
Not only will we visit UKM, but we will also have fun together in Malang because there is a road trip. On this occasion, we will visit Santerra de Laponte and the Batu Night spectacular. There, we will unwind from the many projects and lecture assignments. This activity was held for 3 days, from November 11 to 13, 2023.
We got there at 8:00 and went straight to the venue. The event began with an opening by the MC and also remarks from the president of each UKM. Next, we had a group discussion forum among the existing divisions. With the following division:
- PI from SAFEL with CORE from FORMASI
- SAFEL HRD with FORMASI HRD
- PR SAFEL with PR, FCD, and BROADCAST from FORMASI
- PS, and also FOLT of SAFEL with PS and FEDS of FORMASI
- CCU-LM from SAFEL with FSD from FORMASI
- SAFEL members and FORMASI members
In this FGD, we are given 40 minutes to discuss topics related to the organization. Formasi provides FGD topics so that we are not confused, such as “What is your best experience in the organization?” There are many topics that we talk about, such as how to survive in an organization and how to deal with a problem. We try to discover new things in this session. Besides that, we will also play games with the FORMASI UB. There is tremendous enthusiasm from both UKMs to win this game. We laugh happily.
After the event at Brawijaya University was over, we headed to Santerra Delaponte, but because the weather was not favorable, we finally headed straight to BNS. There are so many rides there. We tried and occasionally screamed in fear, but it was not something that could make our guts diminish. Besides the rides, we also bought various kinds of unfortunate snacks and did not forget to sing along with the beautiful nightlife in Malang. We returned to Yogya, and we are happy.
