Do you know what Majalah Dinding (Mading) is? Majalah Dinding (Mading) is one form of writing or media that can be published. Majalah Dinding is one of the work programs of the Cross-Cultural Understanding and Learning Media department of the Student Forum of Foreign Languages UNY (SAFEL UNY). Majalah Dinding serves to develop the creativity of the staff who participate in writing and design. The existence of Majalah Dinding also serves as a communication medium to publish the existence of various events owned by the Student Forum of Foreign Languages UNY (SAFEL UNY).
This year, Majalah Dinding uses “Vagabond” as the theme, the same as the theme of the Festival Budaya Internasional 2023. This theme describes the journey and traveling into many cultures around the World. We hope that with this theme, the wall magazine could give the readers an experience of the journey to know SAFEL well and better.
This year, Majalah Dinding was held offline. We display the Majalah Dinding in front of the Student Center at UNY. This display’s purpose is to attract people who enter or exit the Student Center. They will read and learn much more about SAFEL UNY from the content in the Majalah Dinding. This display was held from May 14th until May 21st, 2023. But do not worry if you are curious about Majalah Dinding; you can read it in front of the Secretariat of SAFEL UNY.
Majalah Dinding has contents about SAFEL, which include information about the work programs of the departments and sub-departments in SAFEL. On the cover, we display the crews from the departments and the sub-departments with their department names. Also, this year we added a quiz with the medium of crossword puzzles in the hope that this will attract more people to learn more about SAFEL. The quiz is about the work programs in SAFEL.
Majalah Dinding also has many benefits, such as increasing awareness about the role of written media in the global era as a medium for learning foreign languages in writing and introducing “SAFEL” for members and staff of the Student Forum of Foreign Languages UNY (SAFEL UNY), UNY students, and the public.
It is hoped that the existence of this Majalah Dinding will help many people gain new experiences in the media of writing and design. And it is also hoped that the existence of this Majalah Dinding can help many people to know “SAFEL” better.
