Community Visit is a program held by the Public Relation Department of UKM SAFEL UNY which facilitates other organizations or institutions to connect with SAFEL. The aims of the program are to welcome those organizations or institutions, to increase our relations, and to widen our knowledge about organizational things. For this year, we specially held the Community Visit twice. The Community Visit with IFLS ITS was our second event, after we did in Community Visit with UKM PSM SW UNY. Community Visit with IFLS ITS was held on November 6th, 2021 with the theme: Diversitas dalam UKM Bahasa.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we could only welcome IFLS ITS’s visit via an online platform, which is Zoom Meeting. Despite that, we still could gain a lot of new information, new insight, and even new friends. At the beginning of the event, we got to know more about each organization by seeing presentations done by our Captains. The presentation powerpoint was so cool and it contained a lot of information about the departments, the staff, and the programs. The chat section was never empty. As the Captain explained their presentation, we had a fun chat in order to get to know more with them.
Later on, we got to know even more about their department staff by having a chit-chat with the staff in FGD sessions. We shared our experience, our programs, our mistakes, our difficulties while we run the organizations. It was so good to know them better and understand their difficulties. We shared our suggestions on how to embrace that trouble so that we can do better for the next year of organizational management. At the end of this session, we felt that 45 minutes was not the right duration to do FGD session because we still wanted to share more of our thoughts. We went back to the main room.
After we all gathered back together, we played a fun and attractive game. The game tested our knowledge and understanding on the culture of Korea, Japanese, and a few more countries. The game felt so challenging because we were so ambitious to be the top 3 to get the prizes. Overall, the event went so well. We could get a lot of new insight and new friends. It was so good to know IFLS ITS better and be a close friend of theirs. We hope this relation will never be cut no matter what happens to us. Cheerio! (Revanica Alovia Aryantika)
