One Day with SAFEL is one of the programs that carry out activities with the community or people from outside UNY. Together with other communities and the surrounding community, One Day with SAFEL provides activities that focus on introducing foreign languages ​​under the auspices of SAFEL. This is intended so that people get new knowledge or increase knowledge about foreign languages. Therefore, One Day with SAFEL this time was carried out with the theme One Step Closer to Others.

This time One Day with SAFEL is done offline with strict regulations to avoid the spread of the corona virus. One Day with SAFEL was held at the Marjinal School Community or Komunitas Sekolah Marjinal (KSM) in the Kledokan area, Sleman. In addition, One Day with SAFEL also conducts an online campaign about education. One Day with SAFEL this time using English for activities. In this activity, the committee and children from the Komunitas Sekolah Marjinal played together using English. The games include recognizing colors using origami paper, recognizing shapes and making origami, then singing head shoulder knees and toes together.

One Day with SAFEL this time was attended by 8 children from Marjinal School Community. Although at first the children looked shy, in the end the committee and the children were able to play and interact together. For 2 hours the committee and children played and learned English. Towards the end of the event the children were given gifts and took pictures together. Time spent together with Komunitas Sekolah Marjinal’s children means a lot to committee. Likewise with the Komunitas Sekolah Marjinal’s children who we hope can get new knowledge. It was an amazing day with amazing people!
