Seminar Beasiswa is also known as SEMBES is one of the events held by UKM Bahasa Asing SAFEL UNY and is specially held by the department of FOLT (Foreign Language Training). This event was held on the 17th of April 2021 from 9 AM until 11 AM.
The aim of this event is to give insight and tips regarding foreign scholarships. This year, SEMBES goes to Korea by presenting two speakers with scholarship experience to Korea, Hastanti Putri as KOICA scholarship awardee and Khilda V. Herlambang as KGSP (Korean Global Study program) scholarship awardee.
Starting the event, a welcoming-speech was delivered by Nazilla Laila Syifa Sunni as the president of UKM Bahasa Asing SAFEL UNY 2020 and by Dinasti Hanggara Praja as the head committee of the event.
Next, the speakers begin giving their take and information about scholarship, starting from KOICA scholarship by Mrs. Hastanti Putri and ending the first session with a QnA session. After that, come break time and some ice-breaking by playing prized quiz through Quizziz.
The second session then starts afterward with Mrs. Khilda Herlambang, giving information regarding KGSP scholarship and also ending with a QnA session. The event is closed with a virtual photoshoot of all the participants.
The participants express their feeling towards the event through the critics and suggestion pool shared by the committee afterward. Many participants feel this event is very useful to them and wishes for the same kind of events to be held again in the future.
