TOEFL Preparation and Test is an annual program organized by the FOLT (Foreign Languages Training) Department under SAFEL management. This year, TPT conducted on June 26th, 2022 by online through Zoom Cloud Meetings for the preparation and using the web for the test. The goal of the program is to support participants, especially UNY students, and public society in general, to be able to increase their English language skills through an English test. TOEFL Preparation and Test also held to help participants who need a TOEFL score or certificate for a certain necessity.
TOEFL Preparation and Test is held in collaboration with a TOEFL test institute called YEC.CO.ID that is located in Gamping, Yogyakarta. Following up from last year’s program, TOEFL Preparation and Test consists of preparation session with the purpose of the participants finding out some tips and tricks in dealing with the TOEFL test, followed by the conducting of the TOEFL test. The selection of YEC.CO.ID as a partner is due to the good platform for taking the test and will be given an e-certificate that can be used to register for the CPNS test, BUMN test, etc.
The registration is divided into two batches: early bird on May 23rd−31st and night owl on June 1st−23rd, 2022 with a target of 100 participants. Because of the hard work and high enthusiasm of the public, we have been able to surpass the target. After the registration, the participants can take the preparation session on June 26th, 2022 with Ms. Fridia Amalia as the tutor from YEC.CO.ID online in Zoom Cloud Meetings. The activity was filled with explanations, examples of TOEFL questions, and a Q & A session.
The next session from TOEFL Preparation and Test is the TOEFL test that can be done from June 26th−28th, 2022 with one trial. The participants will be given a code through e-mail to login into their accounts. The participants took part in this agenda smoothly without any obstacles. After the test, several participants scored TOEFL scores, which were obtained in the form of certificates. -Fiyola
