Do you know what Majalah Dinding (Mading) is? Majalah Dinding (Mading) is one form of writing media that can be published. Majalah Dinding is one of the work programs of the Cross Cultural Understanding and Learning Media department of the Student Forum of Foreign Languages UNY (SAFEL UNY). Majalah Dinding serves to develop the creativity of the staff who participate in writing and design. The existence of Majalah Dinding also serves as a communication medium to publish the existence of various events owned by the Student Forum of Foreign Languages UNY (SAFEL UNY).
This year, Majalah Dinding uses “Neverland” as the theme, the same as the theme of the Festival Budaya Internasional 2022. This theme depicts the world of fairy tales, with all of its uniqueness and beauty. Like SAFEL, which has a lot of individuality from each member as well as the beauty and miracle that can be seen in every activity performed.
Majalah Dinding also has many benefits, such as increasing awareness about the role of written media in the global era, a medium for learning foreign languages in writing, and introducing “SAFEL” for members and staff of the Student Forum of Foreign Languages UNY (SAFEL UNY), UNY students, and the public.
I am very grateful that this year’s Majalah Dinding can be held online and offline. Although teaching and learning activities have not been conducted offline, SAFEL is still trying to make Majalah Dinding offline so that it can be enjoyed directly by many people. The offline Wall Magazine was in the secretariat room of SAFEL, while the Majalah Dinding online was published through Artstep and YouTube. That way, everyone can easily access Majalah Dinding anywhere and anytime.
It is hoped that the existence of this Wall Magazine will help many people gain new experiences in the media of writing and design. And it is also hoped that the existence of this Wall Magazine can help many people get to know “SAFEL” better. -Wamwam
