The UNY English Competition (UNESHCO) is a national English competition for university students held annually by UKM Bahasa Asing “SAFEL” UNY. This competition is one of the items on the agenda for commemorating Dies Natalis UNY, which consists of a speech and Micro-teaching competition. This event has been organized seven times since 2016. The eighth competition is going to be held on Friday and Saturday, May 19–20, 2023, at UNY. This year, UNESHCO brings the theme “Make Your Move, Build Your Creativity, and Be the Winner”. Through this theme, we hope that the participants will have the confidence to develop creativity and take the actions that they intend to take or need to take in order to achieve their goals. Furthermore, we expect that UNESHCO will be the best platform to showcase their amazing talent, especially in public speaking.
